Match Reports - 11th october 2014
HS E 24 - Emmanuel Netball 60
Our 2nd match and even though the outcome was a loss our young team showed determination and team work. Once again shooting duo Ella Dunn and Joanna Sands didn't disappoint. With 90% shots on target the sharp shooters gained confidence throughout the game. Versatile Libby Davidson once again stepped up to the mark and conversation after the game with the opponents she was mentioned in despatches. Victoria Elsey and Aaliyah Shaike held the centre court together with backup from Ellie Carne and newbie Lucy Phipps who stepped up to the mark. Experienced Hannah Stapley once again controlled the defence. This bunch of girls are friendly and gain confidence each game.... Well done you E team..... |
HS C 51 - Crickets 27
A great first win for the C team in what was a fantastic team performance. The game was even up until half time, then super keeper (and most sporting player) Niamh Bulley stood her ground which disrupted the play of the GS and with the defence partnership with Tanya they were able to turn over the other teams centre passes. Fantastic play on centre court, sharp shooting, 'scary feet' (keeping on our toes!) and clearing out contributed to an enjoyable win in what was at times a feisty game. Onwards and upwards to the next game! |
HS B 36 Portas B 22
So we started off strongly and took a 3 goal lead at end of 1st. The game was fast but scrappy in some parts but I did think we were leading by lots at half time but we drew the quarter 7 7! Anyway as Laura put it we needed to slow it down and go back to old school so the walker bird took her chance and made the difference! Some superb movement/game play/interceptions and all from everyone secured the win in a very competitive game which saw one of the portas teams defeated today. Most sporting player was Kels. |
